Modern Slavery Statement

The Goodman Gallery committed to the abolition and prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking and ensuring that its business and those we do business with are not only of the highest ethical standards but are compliant with all applicable laws.

This statement is for the financial year ending 30 June 2024, made in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. This Act is UK legislation which requires companies of a certain turnover to produce annual statements detailing their efforts to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not present in our business or supply chains.

This statement outlines the steps that The Goodman Gallery has taken to prevent modern slavery within our business and supply chain.

Both human trafficking and modern slavery are illegal, and a violation of human rights and we have a zero-tolerance approach to this in our business and supply chain.

We primarily sell art on behalf of artists on the primary market (the first time a work of art is sold) but we also sell work on the secondary market on behalf of consignors. Apart from original works of art, we sell books, other artist related apparel, prints and editions on our website and in our galleries.

We have developed a modern slavery policy which we shall shortly be implementing and training all of our staff on ethics and compliance to ensure awareness greater awareness and compliance. We have reviewed our internal hiring procedures and all of our policies as well as those of our suppliers to ensure that risks can be identified and ensure no breaches of our modern slavery policy. We shall also undertake regular evaluation and risk analysis of these issues.

The directors of The Goodman Gallery UK Limited are responsible for this statement. It will next be next reviewed in September 2025 and published annually. This is our first statement. It was approved by our directors on 20 May 2025.

If you have any questions regarding this statement, or any concerns regarding modern slavery or human trafficking then please email me on: gaby@goodman-galleryuk.com or write to: Goodman Gallery, 26 Cork Street, London W1S 3ND, UK.
